Two 100% Penalty Takers
The honor of being the player with the most successful penalties without a miss in Premier League history was once held solely by former Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure. The Ivorian star always maintained an excellent mentality from the penalty spot, scoring all 11 penalties he took in the Premier League. Among them, 7 penalties helped the team win the game, and 5 penalties put Manchester City ahead.

Chelsea star Cole Palmer once surpassed Toure to take the sole lead in December 2024. He scored two penalties against Tottenham, making his Premier League penalty record 12 out of 12. However, Palmer's penalty against Leicester City in March 2025 was saved, ending his 100% record.
Fulham striker Raul Jimenez equaled Toure's 100% success rate with 11 goals from 11 penalties after scoring a penalty against Nottingham Forest in December 2025.
Mbeumo, during his time at Brentford, also joined the camp of "100% success rate with more than 10 penalties taken" after scoring a penalty against Newcastle in April 2025. However, his perfect record was ended by Fulham goalkeeper Bernd Leno on May 18, 2025.
Mbeumo's former teammate Ivan Toney also maintained a 100% record of 10 out of 10 penalties in March 2023, and had the opportunity to equal Toure's record a month later. However, in the home loss to Newcastle on April 8, 2023, he missed his 11th Premier League penalty attempt.
Other Excellent Penalty Takers
Danny Murphy took 19 penalties in the Premier League and scored 18 (a success rate of 95%). His only miss came in April 2008 when he played for Fulham against Manchester City, as Joe Hart saved his 9th Premier League penalty attempt, thus ruining his 100% record.
Among current Premier League players who have taken at least 10 penalties, West Ham United striker Callum Wilson (94.1%) ranks high, having missed only 1 of his 17 Premier League penalty attempts.
Arsenal legend Thierry Henry was never saved from the penalty spot in the Premier League, but he failed to score 2 out of his 25 attempts. Both misses hit the post, and the opposing goalkeepers happened to be two of the only three Finnish goalkeepers to have played in the Premier League (Jussi Jaaskelainen and Antti Niemi).
The Worst Penalty Takers
Among players who have taken at least 10 penalties in the Premier League, Juan Pablo Angel has the lowest all-time penalty success rate. During his time at Aston Villa from October 2001 to October 2006, he scored only 5 out of 10 penalties. The Colombian striker scored 4 of his first 5 attempts but missed 4 of his last 5—two of which came in the same game against Fulham in February 2005, when Edwin van der Sar saved two of his penalties in just 5 minutes and 44 seconds.

Interesting Facts About Penalty Records

Mitrovic missed 4 out of 8 penalties he took for Fulham in the 2022-23 Premier League season, becoming the first player in Premier League history to miss 4 penalties in a single season.
Middlesbrough's diminutive Brazilian Juninho is perhaps one of the most popular players in the club's history, but he was not good at taking penalties. He could compete for one of the worst penalty takers in Premier League history—no player has taken as many as 4 penalties without scoring a single one.
This ranking list is updated with each season of the Premier League. Let's look forward to seeing whether any new players will be able to break these records in the future.
