Former England international Gary Lineker stated in a show that Manchester United has shown signs of progress this season and is heading in the right direction.Although Man Utd has only secured two wins in their past seven league games, Lineker believes United fans have reason to be optimistic about the team’s development under Ruben Amorim. He said: “I can see the progress Man Utd has made this season, and I think they have reason to be optimistic.”

“Of course, there has been a pessimistic mood around Man Utd for a long time, but I really am seeing an improving team. They are making progress slowly, but I think they are truly heading in the right direction.”
“I think Cunha is a very good player. I would say he should have scored that header against Aston Villa—it was just a flick away. Cunha himself will know he should have taken that chance.”
“Nevertheless, Cunha’s effort was brilliant. I think Man Utd has maintained better balance on the pitch, especially when you consider they have so many injured players.”
“I think Heaven has played excellently. His performance is very mature. As the central defender in the three-center-back system, you face enormous pressure in that position, so I think Højlund has done a great job. Man Utd is also very threatening in attack, but they just couldn’t stop Rodgers.”
