According to official news from Liverpool Football Club, Alexander Isak has suffered an ankle injury and a fibula fracture. He has successfully undergone surgery, and the return date is undetermined.

Liverpool Official Statement:

Alexander Isak successfully underwent surgery today to treat the injury he sustained on Saturday.

Isak was injured while scoring his first goal in the match against Tottenham Hotspur and had to be substituted off the pitch.

After diagnosis, he completed surgery for an ankle injury (including a fibula fracture) today.

Isak's rehabilitation treatment will continue at the AXA Training Centre, and a return date has not yet been determined.

In the match against Tottenham, Isak came on as a substitute for Conor Bradley at halftime and was injured in the 56th minute when he calmly slotted home to open the scoring after latching onto a pass from Florian Wirtz. After the shot, he was brought down by a sliding tackle from Tottenham defender Micky van de Ven.
