The latest news reveals that AC Milan and Juventus have initiated preliminary contacts regarding the transfer of Serbian striker Dušan Vlahović. It is understood that the Bianconeri have stated the transfer fee for the forward must not be less than €18 million.
In the past few hours, Milan and Juventus have held their first substantive negotiations over Vlahović. The Rossoneri have once again expressed their desire to sign him.
Reports suggest that Milan's new head coach Massimiliano Allegri is eager to bring the player, who previously played under him, to San Siro. Additionally, Vlahović himself has shown strong interest in moving to San Siro. If the Serbian international is willing to take a salary cut to join Milan, the amount of compensation Juventus needs to pay will become a key point.
Notably, Vlahović has previously rejected offers from other clubs, including those from the Turkish league. As things stand, Milan will have to offer a transfer fee between €18 million and €20 million, with Juventus insisting on no less than €18 million. The Bianconeri consider this a reasonable request for a 25-year-old center-forward, whom the club signed from Fiorentina for €70 million three and a half years ago.
Milan has made its interest in Vlahović clear and hopes to reach a comprehensive transfer agreement with Juventus. However, if other clubs intervene before the transfer window closes and Vlahović prefers to join them, the situation may change.
