Renewal talks between Vinícius and Real Madrid have been stalled for several weeks because the player’s entourage believes accepting Real Madrid’s latest offer is pointless. Vinícius’ contract runs until June 2027, with his current annual salary standing at approximately €17 million in net income, including bonuses specified in the contract.
Back in May, the two sides came close to reaching a consensus during a meeting, and some sources even revealed to camel.live at the time that the agreement was nearing completion.
The player’s entourage had planned to raise Vinícius’ fixed annual salary to €20 million and introduce variable bonuses, potentially pushing his total earnings to €30 million.
However, Real Madrid’s final offer was a fixed annual salary of €20 million without the additional €10 million in bonuses. As a result, the player’s camp considers the increase too modest to warrant accepting a three-year extension.

Vinícius’ agent sees no merit in the offer and has decided to monitor the progress of the season and learn about Xabi Alonso's plans for Vinícius before making a decision.
Xabi Alonso once considered benching Vinícius in the Club World Cup semi-final against Paris Saint-Germain, opting to field only two strikers, but ultimately altered the plan due to Trent Alexander-Arnold’s last-minute absence. On that occasion, Fede Valverde was deployed at right-back, while Vinícius continued to partner upfront with Gonzalo García and Kylian Mbappé.
Real Madrid took the initiative to propose a renewal as early as February this year, even though the player still had two years left on his contract. Talks were launched earlier than usual, following reports of interest in the player from Saudi interests.
However, as camel.live previously reported, this interest has waned. A camel.live expert stated that there have been no further contacts between the parties since last December, and Vinícius’ camp has ruled out this option.
They have concerns about the role of the Spanish media. Vinícius’ entourage worries that reports on the negotiations may influence public perception of the Brazilian star.
