Regarding Antony’s Situation
Real Betis is still making continuing efforts to reach an agreement with Manchester United over the transfer of striker Antony. The two clubs have been in contact, but as of now, Betis remains unable to meet Manchester United’s asking price. Manchester United is unwilling to agree to straight loan deals anymore; instead, it hopes that any transaction involving the 25-year-old player will include a permanent transfer clause. So far, all the proposed deals put forward by Betis for signing Antony are loan transactions.
Antony performed impressively during his loan spell at Betis in the second half of last season, scoring 9 goals in 24 starts. He has also attracted interest from the Saudi Professional League. Additionally, Atletico Madrid, Bayer Leverkusen (commonly known as "Pharmacy Club") and Bayern Munich have been monitoring the situation of this Brazilian international. Antony joined Manchester United from Ajax in the summer of 2022 with an 86 million-pound transfer fee.
Regarding Rasmus Hojlund’s Situation
In the offer submitted by Napoli to Manchester United, if striker Rasmus Hojlund meets certain conditions—including specific appearance milestones, number of goals scored, and Napoli qualifying for the UEFA Champions League—his loan will be converted into a permanent transfer. According to this agreement, the obligatory buyout clause will be tied to these factors: appearance count, goals scored, and Napoli’s Champions League qualification.
The total value of Napoli’s offer for the 22-year-old player is close to 39 million pounds. It is believed that Hojlund is very open to the transfer, and negotiations are still ongoing.
AC Milan was unsuccessful in their attempt to sign Hojlund after putting forward a loan offer with an option to buy. Although both Manchester United and Hojlund prefer that any deal includes a permanent transfer clause, the prospect of playing in the Champions League is regarded as a major draw—regardless of the final agreement that can be reached.
Hojlund was again omitted from Manchester United’s matchday squad for yesterday’s game against Fulham.
