Italy international goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma has become the world's highest-paid goalkeeper following his move from Paris Saint-Germain to Manchester City.
By 2030, the 26-year-old shot-stopper will earn approximately €78 million in net earnings after tax from his fixed salary alone at Manchester City, which also makes him the highest-paid goalkeeper in history. If the club exercises the one-year contract extension option, an additional €19 million will be added.
Furthermore, he could also receive up to €3 million in bonuses each year. Two of these bonus components are tied to the team's targets of winning the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League. In addition, there is a bonus structure based on the number of clean sheets he keeps.
