
Jordi Alba, left-back of Inter Miami, updated his social media to announce that he will retire at the end of this season.
The 36-year-old, who primarily plays as a defender, began his professional career at Tarragona and rose to fame at Valencia. In the summer of 2012, he joined FC Barcelona, helping the team win 6 La Liga titles and 1 UEFA Champions League title. In the summer of 2023, he joined Inter Miami alongside Lionel Messi.
At the international level, Alba helped Spain claim the 2012 UEFA European Championship title as a key starter.
