Chivu has officially completed his signing with Inter Milan, set to become the club's new head coach.
The 44-year-old Chivu played for Inter Milan for seven seasons from 2007 to 2014, making a total of 169 appearances for the club. After retiring, Chivu served as a coach for Inter Milan's various youth teams. This past winter, he began coaching Parma, leading them to a record of 3 wins, 7 draws, and 3 losses.
