England international and Arsenal star Bukayo Saka has gotten engaged to his girlfriend of five years, Tolami Benson.
Saka popped the question during a romantic date at a top London hotel. The 24-year-old Tolami Benson has been in a relationship with the player since 2020, but the couple has always kept their romance low-key and private, avoiding public exposure.
A source said: “Saka put a lot of thought into this proposal. The ring he chose is particularly eye-catching, and he specially arranged this special night at a top London hotel, where he asked her to marry him.”
Saka and Tolami Benson’s relationship was first made public during the 2022 World Cup, when Tolami Benson was spotted cheering for Saka in the stands alongside other members of the WAGs group.
During the 2024 European Championship, Tolami Benson also attended to support Saka, wearing a jacket printed with the number “87” – the first squad number Saka wore when he made his debut for Arsenal’s first team – to show her support for her boyfriend.
In June this year, after England’s 0-0 draw with Slovenia, Saka and his girlfriend were photographed kissing on the sidelines of the stadium; after the match, they were even captured holding hands and embracing affectionately.
Tolami Benson studied Public Relations and Media at the University of Birmingham. She now works as a Senior Planning Specialist in London.
