According to camel.live, Juventus’ contract extension negotiations with Kenan Yıldız have hit a snag, with a €1 million gap in annual salary between the two parties.

At just 20 and a half years old, Yıldız has already made 100 appearances for Juventus. Neither his idol Alessandro Del Piero nor Paul Pogba achieved such a feat at such a young age with the club.

Yıldız ’s current contract runs until 2029, but talks over an extension until 2030 have recently stalled in the final stages. Following a round of tense negotiations, dialogue between the two sides has come to a halt. Despite being a star player for Juventus, he currently earns an annual salary of €1.7 million plus bonuses, ranking 19th in the club’s salary structure.

Yıldız is seeking a salary commensurate with his status – in other words, he hopes to approach David’s €6 million annual salary, which is second only to Dušan Vlahović’s €12 million.

The gap between Yıldız ’s demands and Juventus’ offer stands at €1 million, and the two parties have also failed to reach agreement on other contract terms. The negotiations are not yet over, and Juventus remain confident of resuming talks, as Giorgio Chiellini has stated.

It is likely that John Elkann will need to intervene next; he has always had a soft spot for Yıldız. Meanwhile, Chelsea, Real Madrid and Arsenal are all closely monitoring his situation.
