Speaking about his teammates’ performance, van Dijk stated: “They kept working hard and fighting all the way. This is a team that never gives up, and they have excellent ability and team spirit. There were some minor issues during the game, but the players still made an impact. The young players, in particular, showed promising potential.”
When discussing new signing Wirtz, van Dijk said: “He has shown a lot of good experience and is a very excellent player. Although he still needs to adapt to the intensity of the game and the rhythm of official matches, we will support him, and he will get there. He has got plenty of opportunities to play, and as long as he stays on track and avoids major setbacks, he has room to grow.”
Finally, van Dijk added: “Just like before the season started, we focused on the game and hoped to win—that’s the most important thing. We’ll sort out the minor issues that came up during the match, but these are all part of the game. There are areas we need to improve on, but most importantly, we won the game. Today, we focused on the game itself, and that’s what matters most.”
