
Tunisia has clinched a spot in the 2026 FIFA World Cup finals in advance, becoming the second African team to qualify for the tournament and the 18th team worldwide to secure a place in the 2026 World Cup finals.
In the recently held FIFA World Cup qualifiers, Tunisia defeated Equatorial Guinea 1-0 away from home, finishing top of the group with 22 points and thus securing their qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup finals ahead of schedule.
Tunisia follows Morocco as the second African team to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup finals, and also the 18th team globally to earn a spot in the tournament's finals.
This will mark the 7th time in Tunisia's history that they have participated in the FIFA World Cup finals, and the third consecutive time. In their previous 6 World Cup appearances, the team was eliminated in the group stage on each occasion.
