Man City & Bournemouth Agree Semenyo Joins Officially After Arsenal Clash

On Semenyo’s transfer to Manchester City

Many have also asked about Andoni Iraola’s future. I previously mentioned rumours linking him to Chelsea, but these reports have been denied, so he will continue to manage the Cherries, and we will keep an eye on the situation at the end of the season. As for Semenyo’s situation? Today, Bournemouth boss Iraola stated at his press conference that Semenyo remains a Bournemouth player and will feature in the game against Arsenal, sending a clear message.

However, sources confirmed to me that Manchester City and Bournemouth have reached a verbal agreement over Semenyo’s transfer, with the fee close to £65 million. The two clubs have discussed the deal, and it is now only a matter of timing for his departure. As it stands, he will officially join the Etihad Stadium following the Arsenal clash.

This is a negotiation strategy between Bournemouth and Manchester City, who share a good relationship and hope to maintain cooperation. They are therefore discussing the optimal time for Semenyo to undergo his medical and complete his move to City. The overall situation remains unchanged. As I mentioned in my video on December 24th, Semenyo wants to join Manchester City and views it as his top priority, and this still stands.

In the following days, I have repeatedly stressed that City have been in contact with Bournemouth. Despite English media reports suggesting Liverpool could step in or Manchester United rejoin the race, my sources have consistently pointed to Manchester City as the destination. Even after Iraola’s statement today, I understand City are ready to sign Semenyo, who will soon become Pep Guardiola’s first January signing. We just need to wait for the two clubs to finalise the agreed timeline before the player undergoes his medical and signs the paperwork.
