Raheem Sterling has turned down approaches from West Ham United and hopes Fulham will step up their interest in signing him.

The 31-year-old rejected West Ham’s loan offer, even though he has not played a single minute in official matches this season and delivered unconvincing performances during his loan spell at Arsenal last season, scoring only one goal in 28 appearances.
The winger prefers to leave Chelsea on a permanent transfer. He currently has 18 months left on his contract with the club, with a weekly wage of around £325,000. Former Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca put Sterling on the clear-out list and never showed any interest in including him in the first-team plans.
Fulham and Crystal Palace have both been interested in Sterling over the past two summers. Last summer, Sterling turned down moves to Juventus or Bayer Leverkusen because he wanted to join another London club to stay close to his family, and he also had no desire to move to Saudi Arabia.
Sterling’s hopes of joining Fulham may increase if West Ham signs Fulham player Adama Traoré.
