The Dutchman’s injury occurred to the Achilles tendon of his left heel. Notably, back in May this year, Van de Beek had just undergone surgery on his left heel and was sidelined for nearly 4 months. This match marked only his second appearance of the season, yet he has once again suffered a major injury to the same area.
