Transfer experts from camel.live stated that Roma have currently frozen contract extension negotiations with Paulo Dybala, and the possibility of him leaving the club after his contract expires is growing.

Experts revealed that the love story between Dybala and Roma seems to have come to an end. Over the past few weeks, the relationship between the club and Dybala has grown increasingly distant, and the club’s top brass appear less and less willing to renew his contract. Dybala’s contract will expire next summer, and the likelihood of him bidding farewell to Roma is rising.

Dybala joined Roma in 2022 and immediately became the team’s attacking core. However, frequent injuries have hindered his progress. This season, he has made 10 Serie A appearances totaling 507 minutes, scoring 1 goal and providing 1 assist. With a net annual salary plus bonuses of 8 million euros, Dybala is the club’s highest earner. Considering his availability rate, Roma deems this salary too high.

Despite Dybala’s willingness to stay, his agent previously proposed spreading his salary over a two-year contract to reduce Roma’s annual financial burden, but the club was not persuaded by this suggestion.

Additionally, Roma coach Gian Piero Gasperini has favored Matías Soulé this season, no longer viewing Dybala as the tactical centerpiece. The pace and intensity required by Gasperini are difficult for Dybala to maintain consistently, while Soleri has been regarded as Roma’s present and future. To allow Soleri to play his preferred right winger position, Dybala has had to operate as a left winger or center forward this season. Coach Gasperini hopes to sign new attacking reinforcements, and Dybala is seen as a dispensable player.

After his contract expires in June next year, Dybala may receive lucrative offers from other countries, with clubs in Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and MLS monitoring him. However, the 32-year-old still prioritizes staying in Serie A or top European leagues. Nevertheless, Dybala’s chapter at Roma is drawing to a close, and the next few months will be his final performances for the club.
