Real Madrid are extremely angry about the rejection of the club's application to postpone the first round of La Liga, and the White Angels will file an appeal.

According to previous official information, Real Madrid believes that the players participated in this summer's Club World Cup held in the United States and reached the semi-finals, which has affected their rest. Therefore, if the match time is not postponed, the players' health conditions will be affected, and the fairness of the match will be difficult to guarantee. In addition, Real Madrid stated that in accordance with Article 10.1 of the collective agreement for professional football, players are entitled to 21 days of vacation, and the preparatory time for the season is "generally no less than three weeks".

However, in response to these reasons put forward by Real Madrid, the competition judge stated the following: La Liga is scheduled to kick off in August. Real Madrid concluded their Club World Cup semi-final campaign on July 9, returned home on July 10, and started their vacation on July 11. Thus, the 21-day vacation is guaranteed; the so-called three-week preparatory period has no relevant legal or collective agreement as a basis.

In addition, if some teams are allowed to make up the match a month after the first round of the season, it will undermine the overall unity of the schedule, and from a practical perspective, it will instead cause greater unfairness.

Therefore, after learning that the sole judge of the Competition Committee rejected the club's application to postpone the first round of the league, Real Madrid intends to file an appeal with the National Second Instance Committee, and the club has two days to submit the appeal.

It is worth noting that Osasuna goalkeeper Sergio Herrera also talked about Real Madrid's desire to postpone the match in a previous media interview, saying: “Real Madrid is asking to postpone the match? Our club and players all support their decision. It is logical.”

"Anyone with common sense knows that Real Madrid does not have enough time to be 100% prepared for the match."
