In the concluded Premier League Matchweek 15, Liverpool was held to a 3-3 draw by Leeds United. Salah was left out of the starting lineup for the third consecutive game and failed to get any playing time.

After the explosive news broke last Saturday night, Saudi Arabia is one of the potential transfer destinations for Salah if he leaves Liverpool—whether in the upcoming transfer window or at a later date. Even before Salah’s explosive interview, Saudi authorities were already eager to sign him.

They have been pursuing Salah for the past three years and remain interested in him. In the past 24 hours, the Chief Executive Officer of the Saudi Pro League has publicly announced and confirmed that Salah is still one of their transfer targets. Therefore, the Saudi League has officially confirmed its desire to sign Salah.

Saudi negotiators remained interested in Salah even after he renewed his contract with Liverpool last summer. How this negotiation will develop and whether transfer talks will commence depend entirely on Salah’s own decision.

The story between the Reds legend and Liverpool is not over, and questions remain. So far, neither Salah nor his agent has held any talks with clubs in the Saudi League, but Saudi authorities are indeed interested.

Saudi Arabia’s interest persists, so we must certainly keep an eye on this situation.
