Ryan Gravenberch scored one goal and provided one assist to help Liverpool secure a 2-1 victory in the derby match. In an interview with camel.live, Michael Owen stated that Gravenberch is now worth £100 million.
Owen’s Comments on Gravenberch
“I really appreciate his performances in the number 6 position, and even when he’s pushed further forward, he still exerts a huge influence. This is somewhat similar to Declan Rice—though Rice is a defensive midfielder, he also has the ability to make forward runs and contribute to attacks. Looking at world football today, I can barely think of anyone who has performed better than Gravenberch.
“I think he’s one of the most surprising discoveries since last season. If Liverpool had successfully signed Martin Zubimendi back then, Gravenberch would probably not have gotten the playing time he has now.
“In the first round of last season’s Premier League, when Liverpool faced Ipswich Town away, we were all wondering who would play in the number 6 position—and word from the dressing room was that it would be Gravenberch. Since then, he has taken off and delivered incredible performances.
“Bayern Munich must be confused and regretful right now—‘Oh my, how could we have let such a player go?’ He is truly capable of becoming a well-rounded top-tier midfielder.
“If he were playing for another team right now, he would definitely be a hot commodity in the transfer market, and his transfer fee would be at least £100 million.”
