Sacked Just After Taking Office? Postecoglou Tops Premier League Managers’ Sacking Odds List
Mark Dealbreaker
After Nottingham Forest lost 2-3 to Danish side Midtjylland at home, British betting agencies updated the Premier League managers’ sacking odds, with Forest boss Ange Postecoglou becoming the top favorite.
Postecoglou only took over from Nuno Espírito Santo as Nottingham Forest’s new manager on September 9th. However, under his leadership, Forest have remained winless with 2 draws and 4 losses, and even suffered two consecutive home defeats.
Rúben Amorim’s record at Manchester United has also been very poor, but recent reports claim that the Red Devils’ top management still supports Amorim. The Portuguese coach has temporarily slipped to second place on the sacking odds list. Unai Emery and Enzo Maresca are tied for third place on the list.
