Yoane Wissa is set to join Newcastle United! The two clubs have reached a verbal agreement, with the total transfer fee amounting to £55 million. Brentford has accepted Newcastle United’s official offer, and Wissa will travel to undergo a medical examination later today.
Following Alexander Isak’s departure, Newcastle United has successively signed Nick Woltemade and Wissa to strengthen their squad. Coincidentally, the transfer fees for Woltemade and Wissa are the same as Isak’s transfer fee.
Last season, Wissa featured in 39 games for Brentford across all competitions, scoring 20 goals and providing 4 assists. His current market value on Transfermarkt stands at €32 million. Previously, he had issued a public statement expressing his desire to leave the club.
