Manchester United players Amad and Mbemba were respectively named Man of the Match in the first round of the Africa Cup of Nations.
Amad scored the only goal in Ivory Coast’s 1-0 win over Mozambique, while Mbemba provided the assist for the winning goal in Cameroon’s 1-0 victory against Gabon. In addition, Mazraoui also set up a goal in Morocco’s 2-0 win over the Comoros.
It is worth noting that Manchester United lost 1-2 to Aston Villa in their first match without these three key players, who are sidelined due to their participation in the Africa Cup of Nations.
