Nottingham Forest manager Sean Dyche attended the post-match press conference following his side's 1-2 Premier League defeat to Manchester City.
"Of course we have no shortage of pride and optimism, but I know what you mean. The performance in this game is a testament to the excellent work the players have put in. I think we played extremely well."

On the Referee's Decisions

"We can analyze the goals we conceded thoroughly, but how could the referee have made such poor calls today... I'm lost for words.

When it comes to VAR and things like that, we kept seeing our players being pushed to the ground during corner-kick attacks.

We know he just pushed him over—there's no way Morgan Gibbs-White would have ended up like that otherwise. This kind of behavior is absolutely unacceptable."

Should the Man City Player Have Been Sent Off?

"Igor was absolutely brilliant. I can't believe their centre-back was still allowed to stay on the pitch. After he kicked the ball away, he somehow went down with a head injury for no reason at all.

The referee just turned a blind eye to it. Shortly after the start of the second half, the same opponent took Igor down again.

Unfortunately, this is what made the game so frustrating. I try not to criticize referees. They do a good job overall, but their performance today was truly terrible."

When talking about Manchester City's winning goal, he said:"The referee played a crucial role today, but they failed to do their job properly. I have sent a message requesting to see the VAR report, because I simply cannot understand why the foul on Morgan Gibbs-White was not given."
