Oliver Glasner, manager of Crystal Palace, confirmed in an interview that the team's captain and England international Marc Guehi has clearly stated he will not renew his contract and will leave the club when his contract expires next summer.
During a pre-match interview, Glasner said, “Guehi has told us he won't renew his contract, so he will leave next year. The club wants him to stay and has offered him a new contract, but he said 'no, I want to try something different'—that's normal.”
The 25-year-old Guehi’s contract with Crystal Palace is set to expire in June 2026. This summer, he was once close to joining Liverpool, with both sides agreeing on a transfer fee of around £35 million. However, the deal was called off at the last minute because Crystal Palace failed to find a suitable replacement.
