
In the second round of the Premier League, as Liverpool faced Newcastle United away from home, 16-year-old substitute Rio Ngumoha scored a goal in the 100th minute of the match, netting a match-winning strike on his personal Premier League debut.
During this away fixture against Newcastle United, the 16-year-old Ngumoha came on as a substitute in the 96th minute. The Liverpool winger made his Premier League debut at a time when Liverpool had just been pegged back to a 2-2 draw by the opposition.
In the 100th minute of the game, Ngumoha latched onto an assist from Mohamed Salah and side-footed the ball into the net, helping Liverpool secure a 3-2 lead.
This goal is not only Ngumoha’s first goal in his Premier League career, but also the first goal of his professional career.
