Lando Norris finished third in the just-concluded F1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, edging out Max Verstappen and Oscar Piastri in the overall standings to claim his first career Formula 1 Drivers' Championship! He also becomes the 35th F1 World Champion in history!
Born on November 13, 1999, in Bristol, England, Norris officially joined McLaren as an F1 driver in 2019. At the 2020 F1 Austrian Grand Prix, he secured third place to reach his first F1 podium. Norris claimed his maiden F1 race victory at the 2024 Miami Grand Prix.
And today, he is crowned F1 Drivers' Champion for the first time in his career!
