Tebas: The Premier League Spends Heavily But Fails to Attract Superstars, and Has Fewer European Titles Than La Liga

After the release of La Liga clubs' salary caps, La Liga President Javier Tebas and General Manager Javier Gómez jointly attended a press conference, where they talked about the differences between La Liga and the Premier League.
On the differences between La Liga and the Premier League
That’s just the Premier League’s model; it operates at a deficit. Their turnover is higher, and it’s a wealthier country than ours, but even so, losses persist—and we are about to see another loss-making Premier League season. This creates an inflationary effect on other leagues across Europe.
I’m not talking about investment here; I’m talking about disruption. If we look at the ratio of signing efficiency, our clubs and German clubs are the most efficient. Robert Lewandowski once said that in the Premier League, they pay huge sums for players who have played 10 games and scored 6 goals... Does that really make the Premier League more valuable?
Let’s also look at the Ballon d’Or situation. They spend a lot of money but haven’t succeeded in attracting superstars. That doesn’t worry me. We still have won more European titles than the Premier League, so there’s no need to be concerned. This is just a repeat of the talk from this summer—the Premier League is overtaking us on the right and saying La Liga is a disgrace.
