In this round’s Champions League blockbuster, Arsenal defeated Bayern Munich 3-1 at home.

Piers Morgan, a well-known British presenter and avid Arsenal fan, launched a scathing attack on Bayern Munich’s Joshua Kimmich on social media, directly labeling him an “absolute clown.”

The incident stemmed from Arsenal’s 3-1 victory over Bayern in this week’s Champions League blockbuster. After the game, Kimmich was interviewed by the media and shared his views on Arsenal’s tactics.

You’ve beaten Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain this season. So, in your opinion, is Arsenal the toughest opponent you’ve faced so far this season?

Kimmich replied: “No, I don’t think so. I believe Paris Saint-Germain is the most difficult opponent, especially considering their style of play. Arsenal’s approach is completely different—they rely more on set-piece tactics, like to play long balls and compete for second balls. The game against Paris was more like pure football. Today’s game was less ‘football’ and more about game management and physicality. Arsenal played very, very well today and thoroughly deserved the victory, but we have to learn from this.”

In response to Kimmich’s remarks, Morgan reposted the interview clip and wrote relentlessly in the caption: “Absolute clown” along with three laughing-crying emojis 😂😂😂 to express his disdain and mockery for Kimmich’s comments.
