Monaco head coach Adi Hütter discussed Paul Pogba’s situation at a press conference, stating that he might let the player feature for 15 to 20 minutes against Angers. Currently, Pogba has not yet been included in Monaco’s matchday squad.
Hütter said: "Our original goal might have been to include him in the squad for the game against Nice, but it now seems too early for that. After the international break, he could possibly make it into the squad for the next match against Angers. I hope he can be selected.
However, nothing is confirmed yet, as Pogba has not been able to fully participate in the team’s joint training sessions. As everyone can imagine, this takes time, but we are gradually getting him closer to a comeback—he still needs to undergo tackling drills. Over the next two weeks, we will finalize the subsequent steps, and I think he may be ready for the match against Angers. I can’t make any guarantees to everyone, but it could also be the match after that.
I’m considering having Pogba take part in full training sessions during the international break, so that we can determine how to gradually increase his training load. Maybe we can even get him on the pitch for 15 to 20 minutes against Angers."
