This summer, Napoli signed Rasmus Højlund from Manchester United on a loan deal with an obligation to buy. In an interview with camel.live, Højlund expressed his delight at returning to Italy.
“I come back here with more experience after playing in the Premier League, Champions League and Europa League,” Højlund said. “I have developed my abilities and am ready to take on the challenge at one of Italy’s best teams.”
Speaking about wearing the Napoli jersey, Højlund added: “I’m extremely excited. Napoli won the Serie A title last year, and I know how passionate the fans are—I’m thrilled to have this opportunity. When I was watching Napoli’s match against Cagliari in a restaurant, I couldn’t wait to be here.”
“The fans are incredible; I’m impressed by their passion for football. I’ve seen their enthusiasm at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium—back when I was at Atalanta—and felt that atmosphere while exploring the city. I can’t wait to play my first game in front of them. Naples is a beautiful city, and I believe I’ll experience unique emotions here.”
