At the concluded 2025 Ballon d'Or awards ceremony, French forward Ousmane Dembélé claimed the Ballon d'Or, while Barcelona forward Raphinha finished in 5th place.
After the ceremony, Brazilian star Neymar responded to a photo of the Ballon d'Or rankings posted by a journalist. Neymar also spoke up for his compatriot regarding his final Ballon d'Or ranking, stating: “Raphinha finishing 5th? That's simply a joke.”
Last season, Raphinha made 57 appearances for Barcelona across all competitions, scoring 34 goals and providing 22 assists.
