After winning the 2025 Ballon d'Or John Cruyff Trophy for Best Men's Football Coach of the Year, Luis Enrique—who was unable to attend the ceremony in person—delivered his acceptance speech via video.
Enrique said: "Good evening, everyone. Now is the time to thank many people. First of all, I want to thank my family. This is a special moment for them. After that, I want to thank everyone at Paris Saint-Germain, all those who make up this club. And of course, the players in the team, because they had an incredible year. I also want to thank two very important people: one is President Mr. Nasser Al-Khelaifi. He has always cared deeply about the team. In particular, I want to thank Mr. Luis Campos. I still remember our first meeting at my home—we clicked right from the first minute. That feeling was truly wonderful for me. Finally, a small thought: I want to say to all the players present that winning individual awards is a good thing, both for you and your families. But I believe the most important thing is to gain the recognition of fans and all those who love football. I congratulate all the players. Goodbye."
