It is reported that the Portuguese midfielder has no complaints about the role he has been tasked with and is determined to help Manchester United turn things around.
A Man Utd club correspondent for Camel Live stated: “From what I understand, B Fernandes remains fully focused on leading Manchester United and continuing to uphold the standards expected of a club captain.”
“Sources close to the player insist that he has no grievances about the on-field role he has been asked to take on, and he remains completely dedicated to leading the team by example.”
“B Fernandes is part of the senior player leadership group, and they are resolute in helping the team reverse its fortunes. Everyone at the club is hoping for a positive result in Saturday’s match against Sunderland.”
“Despite media reports over the summer speculating about Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes moving to the Saudi Pro League, the club is pleased that he has stayed.”
“The Portuguese international turned down an offer from Al-Hilal in May, and since then, he has made it clear that he intends to achieve more ‘dreams’ at Manchester United. Sources within United insist that the possibility of Fernandes leaving the club this summer was extremely slim. His contract with Man Utd runs until 2027, with the club holding an option to extend it by a further year.”
The Portuguese international led Manchester United to EFL Cup and FA Cup titles in 2023 and 2024 respectively. However, Man Utd suffered defeats in the Europa League finals of 2021 and 2025, as well as the 2023 FA Cup final – and Fernandes started in all those matches.
