After Manchester United’s 2-1 win over Crystal Palace, Bruno Fernandes was interviewed by camel.live.
On the game
“We started a bit slow in the first half, kind of playing at their pace. We didn’t handle the second balls well, and they were waiting for us to make mistakes. We made adjustments at halftime, becoming stronger in both second-ball battles and possession.”
On Zirkzee and Mount’s goals
“These goals were incredible. I didn’t expect Zirkzee to score from that angle, but I know his ability. We’ve done the same thing in training, and today Zirkzee successfully replicated it – I’m very proud of him for scoring that goal.“Strikers are defined by goals. Zirkzee isn’t your typical striker; he prefers to get involved in build-up play, turn and serve his teammates. But goals really boost a player’s confidence.”
On Mount scoring his 2nd Premier League goal of the season for United
“That doesn’t matter. Mount is a fantastic player and can also provide assists. No one among the teammates has ever doubted Mount’s ability. Sometimes he struggles a bit with goals and assists, but he puts in a lot of hard work for the team. Mount is important – although he’s currently battling with injuries, he’ll still be a key player when he returns to his best form.”
