Benjamin Šeško endured another forgettable night in a Manchester United shirt during his first start for the Red Devils. The 20-time English champions lost 3-0 to their Manchester rivals Manchester City, with their new striker mocked for being “completely anonymous” at the Etihad Stadium as Rúben Amorim’s side suffered their second Premier League defeat of the season.
United and Šeško’s Nightmare at the Etihad
Amorim’s United faced a predictably tough night at the Etihad Stadium, as the Red Devils were torn apart by Erling Haaland’s brace and a clinical strike from Phil Foden. Šeško was largely invisible throughout the game, completing just 8 passes and winning only 3 of his 9 duels before being substituted off for Casemiro in the 80th minute.

Despite having made 5 appearances for United, Šeško is yet to score for his new club. The Slovenian striker has not adapted to Amorim’s tactical system, and fans have frequently criticized his teammates for failing to play direct football that would utilize his strengths.
