Recently, Newcastle United winger Anthony Gordon hit back at Bayern Munich supervisory board member Karl-Heinz Rummenigge over the latter’s comments on the Magpies’ signing of Nick Woltemade. Rummenigge had previously claimed that Stuttgart had "found a fool" who was willing to spend such a large sum of money on the German striker.
Gordon said: "I don’t understand why you’d comment on a player who isn’t at your club. To be honest, it’s a bit silly—especially when the player has got off to a really good start. You’d say that if he’d had a bad start, but he’s scored three goals in four games, so that comment is a bit odd."
