Thomas Partey has emerged as a free-agent target for Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, and Juventus following his departure from Arsenal, with the Ghanaian midfielder also attracting interest from two Saudi Arabian clubs, MLS sides, and UAE outfits.
Having officially become a free agent after his Arsenal contract expired on Monday, Thomas is weighing up options for his next move. The Gunners held negotiations over new terms with the midfielder, but failed to reach an agreement. Signed from Atletico Madrid for around £45 million in 2020, Thomas had hoped to stay at the Emirates Stadium.
The 32-year-old is in no rush to decide, with Atletico and Barça having first expressed interest earlier this year when his free transfer became imminent. Juventus, who have monitored the midfielder, remain keen now he is unattached, while two Saudi clubs are also in contention.
Meanwhile, Arsenal are restructuring their midfield this summer: Italian veteran Jorginho joined Flamengo last month, but Sandi Semedo is set to complete a £50+ million move from Real Sociedad this week. The Gunners are also negotiating for Brentford captain Christian Nørgaard, with a £10 million fixed fee plus £5 million in add-ons expected.
