The All India Football Federation expresses deep concern over the incident that occurred at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan (commonly known as Salt Lake Stadium), where thousands of fans gathered to catch a glimpse of global football superstars Lionel Messi, Luis Suárez and Rodrigo De Paul.
This was a private event organized by a public relations company. The All India Football Federation did not participate in any form in the organization, planning or execution of this event. Furthermore, the relevant details of the event were not reported to the All India Football Federation, nor did the organizers seek any approval from the federation.
We call on all personnel present to fully cooperate with the relevant authorities and maintain on-site order. The safety and security of all relevant personnel must be regarded as the top priority.
