
Official news: FIFA has approved the prize money for the 2026 World Cup. The total prize pool amounts to $727 million, a 50% increase compared to 2022. The champion will receive $50 million, and all participating teams are guaranteed at least $10.5 million upon qualification.

The largest share, $655 million (also a 50% increase from the previous edition), will be distributed as prize money among the 48 participating teams. The specific breakdown is as follows:
