Amsterdam - Shachar Greenberg, agent of Oscar Gloukh, stated that Gloukh is deeply interested in the possibility of transferring to Ajax. The Israeli midfielder from Red Bull Salzburg is an ideal candidate to strengthen Ajax's midfield.
The Amsterdam club has recently officially expressed its intention to the Austrian club and the player's management. Greenberg, Gloukh's agent, confirmed this: "Ajax is a good option. Negotiations with Alex Kroes are currently underway. I am cooperating with him through Rafaela Pimenta to communicate with Ajax about this potential deal. Whether the agreement can be reached depends on the numbers — it must be beneficial to all parties. Moreover, several clubs are currently interested in him," the Israeli agent said.

He added that Ajax's interest is not something that just emerged recently: "Ajax was our first choice even before Oscar joined Red Bull Salzburg. At that time, Klaas-Jan Huntelaar approached us, and we had a conversation at the training center, but Ajax did not sign him in the end. Red Bull stepped in before Ajax took action and paid a relatively low transfer fee (€7 million) to Maccabi Tel Aviv."
Ajax now hopes to push forward with this deal. After signing goalkeeper Vitislav Jaros and right winger Raúl Moro, an attacking midfielder capable of controlling the game has become Ajax's top transfer target, and Gloukh meets these criteria. The 21-year-old midfielder has made 21 appearances for the Israeli senior national team and has also delivered impressive statistics in club competitions.
In 100 appearances for the Austrian club, Gloukh scored 21 goals and provided 23 assists. Recently, he also participated in the Club World Cup with Salzburg. Before transferring to Austria, Gloukh played for Maccabi Tel Aviv.
Technical director Alex Kroes has freed up space in the player budget by selling several redundant players, and now, finalizing the much-needed new signings has become a top priority for Kroes and Marin Božić.
Benefiting from the sales of Carlos Forbs, Borna Sosa, Jaka Bijol, Kristian Hlynsson, among others, as well as the resale shares and solidarity payments from the transfers of Mohamed Kudus, Francisco Conceição, and Azor Matoshiwa, the club now has sufficient financial space to enter the transfer market and sign the required midfield reinforcements for new coach John Heitinga. Showing clear interest in Gloukh, who has emerged on the international stage, also indicates that Kroes and Ajax are firmly committed to bringing truly high-quality reinforcements to Amsterdam.
