Manchester City legend Sergio Agüero recently gave an interview to the media, talking about the topic of Yamal taking over Barcelona's No. 10 jersey.
Agüero: “Barcelona's No. 10 jersey undoubtedly carries heavy symbolic significance. People naturally think of Messi, but we should not forget Ronaldinho, Diego (Maradona) and other legendary players. I think Yamal deserves this number. His technical ability and personality traits shown at his age are amazing. His performances, both at Barcelona and in the national team, have been excellent, and the way he has dealt with pressure so far is commendable.”
He added, "Such hypothetical comparisons are actually of limited significance. Messi's career is unique; he has achieved unprecedented individual and team accomplishments. For Barcelona, he is the greatest of all time. Therefore, such comparisons are not beneficial. Yamal should follow his own path. His career has just begun, and his performances so far have been excellent enough."
