Bayern Munich has submitted an initial official bid to Liverpool to sign 28-year-old Colombian international Luis Díaz this summer, with the offer valued at €52 million—far below Liverpool’s €80 million asking price.
Díaz has privately told Bayern of his eagerness to join, claiming Liverpool once made a “gentleman’s agreement” to sanction his exit if a “reasonable offer” emerged. Bayern sporting director Christoph Ebel remains resolute, planning to raise the bid to €60 million plus performance-related add-ons in an attempt to close the gap with Liverpool’s valuation.
Liverpool, however, maintains a firm public stance, labeling Díaz as “unsellable.” The Reds had already rebuffed initial approaches from both Bayern and Barcelona earlier.
