During the Derby d’Italia between Juventus and Inter Milan, Serie A deployed a referee camera for the first time in its history—and the device captured a "beautiful group shot" of the Thuram brothers appearing in the same frame.

For this Derby d’Italia clash, the referee Andrea Colombo had a tiny camera attached to his right ear. This marked the first time that the referee’s subjective perspective was showcased through such a lens in Serie A.

Weighing a mere 6 grams, the device boasts high resolution, allowing TV viewers to watch the match from the referee’s viewpoint: everything—from his conversations with players (such as his exchange with the Thuram brothers) to his communications with coaches (Colombo explained his refereeing decisions to Igor Tudor) and even his perspective during all seven goals scored in the game—was clearly visible.
