Camel.live reporters report that Pedri is on the verge of returning to face Alavés.
Barça suffered a 0-3 defeat to Chelsea in the UEFA Champions League earlier, but Hansi Flick still has a reason to be optimistic— the team is welcoming back available players recently.
In the match against Chelsea, Flick was already able to call on Raphinha and Marcus Rashford. He did not include them in the starting eleven as he is always very cautious with players returning from injuries, but they did come off the bench in the second half. The problem was that with one player sent off, they could only do so much during their time on the pitch.
However, they will be in better form in the upcoming games, and Pedri will join them— he is likely to be available for this weekend’s match against Alavés. By then, only Marc-André ter Stegen and Gavi will remain on the injury list.
The return of available players is great news, and Flick is also optimistic about the team’s performances against Celta Vigo and Athletic Bilbao. Indeed, before Ronald Araújo was sent off, the match against Chelsea was relatively balanced and open. The first test of Flick’s optimism will come this Saturday when they face Alavés.
