According to Italian sources, Napoli will exercise Rasmus Højlund's buyout clause within the stipulated deadline.

Despite various rumors and speculations circulating in recent days, there are no doubts within Napoli regarding Højlund's future. The club is extremely satisfied with his performances and deems it a risk-free move to make the player's transfer permanent. The Danish striker's competitive displays so far, and particularly the room for growth he has shown, have further reinforced Napoli's confidence.
Napoli's management are convinced that they have made the right choice and intend to push ahead without hesitation, activating Højlund's buyout clause as scheduled. Therefore, there are no current concerns nor any so-called "inside stories": Højlund is regarded by Napoli as a core member of their technical project, and the club has resolved to place consistent trust in him, both for the present and the long-term future.
Sources have also confirmed this situation, ruling out any possibility of Napoli having a change of heart. Højlund has made 19 appearances to date, contributing 7 goals and 3 assists. With these figures, he has overtaken Napoli's original starting striker Lorenzo Lucca in a very short time and filled the void left by the injured Romelu Lukaku.
Napoli will be forced to complete the permanent signing of Højlund for a fee of €44 million if specific conditions are met, but it now appears that the club will secure his services on a permanent deal regardless of whether those conditions are fulfilled.
