Chelsea have also become the only team to eliminate PSG in cup competition knockout stages this season. In the UEFA Champions League, PSG defeated Liverpool, Arsenal and Inter Milan en route, and also beat Atlético Madrid, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid in the Club World Cup. Among these, both Liverpool and Aston Villa managed to beat PSG in a single leg, but were eliminated after the two-legged ties.
