
The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) has authorised the Metropolitan Police Service to charge a man following the submission of an evidence file by detectives.
The Metropolitan Police has charged Thomas Partey, a 32-year-old man from Hertfordshire (born June 13, 1992), with the following offences:
Five counts of rape
One count of sexual assault
The charges relate to:
Two counts of rape involving one female
Three counts of rape involving a second female
One count of sexual assault involving a third female
It is reported that these offences were alleged to have taken place between 2021 and 2022.
The charges follow an investigation by detectives after the police first received a report of rape in February 2022.
Detective Superintendent Andy Furphy, who led the investigation team, stated: “Our primary focus remains on supporting the women who have come forward.”
Thomas is scheduled to appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, August 5.
