Legendary center-back Thiago Silva, currently playing for Brazilian Serie A side Fluminense, will leave the club at the end of the year.

Though his contract with the team runs until mid-2026, he has confirmed his return to Europe—hoping to reunite with his family residing in London, finish his career as a player, and then embark on a coaching career.

After consulting with his family, Thiago Silva will evaluate his next move as a player. Therefore, he does not rule out accepting potential offers, such as the interest from AC Milan mentioned by Italian media.

The center-back aims to prioritize options closer to his family in the late stage of his career, whether in Italy, France, or England—so long as he can frequently travel to visit his children who currently play for Chelsea.

His plans also include transitioning to coaching in three years, possibly starting with a youth academy or a less prominent team. London, where his family resides, offers greater convenience, especially with Chelsea’s setup.

Recently, Thiago Silva purchased a property in London for his wife and children, preparing for his life after retiring from the pitch.

His final dream as a player remains competing in the 2026 World Cup, which would be his fifth World Cup appearance. However, to date, the veteran has not yet been included in manager Carlo Ancelotti’s plans.
