In 2022, the Croatia national men's football team participated in the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar and won the third place. In 2023, they claimed the runner-up title in the UEFA Nations League.

On November 19, 2024, in the 6th round of UEFA Nations League Group A1, Croatia drew 1-1 with Portugal, advancing to the quarter-finals."
